Hello to all...I am from the New Hampshire born and raised. It is a great state to live except when winter comes and that sometimes can be a pain. Yesterday (Dec. 12th) we had a big ice storm and many (thousands) of people will be without power for 2-3 weeks. We lost it for 9 hours and I thought I was gonna loose it. My heart goes out to all those people in the larger frame of time before there electricity comes back on. We got lucky. I am a 47 years old female with a 20 year old son. I have been divorced for 18 years. I have been engaged a couple of times throughout that 18 years and the second engagement is still going strong (got engaged a year ago and we have been together 3 years). Since I was little (born in 1961) it seemed to be the thing everyone did. Meet the man of your dreams, get married, get a house, have kids and live happily ever after, however that is not quite how it went for me as I feel for many women and men feel of my generation. Maybe I'm wrong in feeling that way about my generation but throughout my life I've meet alot of people who have felt the same way and is in the same position as I. You know those old sayings "everything happens for a reason" and if it's not meant to be something better will come along". I"m sure alot of you remember those saysings growing up just like this one (one of my favorites) "I can't wait until you have your own kids someday". Well I did have my own kid and I hate to admitt that our parents were right on that one. I need to cut this short today but I will be back to share more. mysmokey
